Nanodrop

After extracting DNA, RNA or proteins from either cultured cells or tissue samples, the scientists always want to know the yield before moving on to the next experiments. The Nanodrop Spectrophotometer is designed to quantify your DNA, RNA or protein concentrations by measuring the absorbance (spectra or single wavelengths) of these macromolecules in solution. It is very easy to use: No cuvettes or capillaries are needed. Just simply pipet a single drop of your sample on the pedestal and pull down the arm. Then the results will display on the screen in seconds. Since most of the time we set up the reactions in a small volume due to expensive reagents and limited sample size, Nanodrop is such an useful equipment for researchers in a Molecular Biology Lab.
